Naive Studio is an independent UK creative production company specialising in fashion, commercial and editorial film. We work with international brands, agencies and creative teams to develop and produce distinctive visual campaigns, shaped by a considered approach to storytelling, cinematography and image-making.

Founded in 2006 by director, cinematographer and editor Jonathan Edwards, Naive Studio has grown from a director-led creative practice into an established production company, built around a core team and a trusted network of creative and production talent.

A CREATIVE APPROACH, BUILT AROUND THE BRIEF

At the centre of Naive is Jonathan Edwards, whose work as a director, cinematographer and editor informs the studio's creative identity from the first idea through to the final frame.

Working alongside an established team and a close network of freelance creatives, producers and technical specialists, we build the right production around every project. Each collaboration is considered individually, bringing together the people, experience and resources needed to realise the creative ambition of the brief.

This flexible approach allows us to move between intimate, director-led productions and larger-scale fashion and commercial campaigns, working across different locations, formats and delivery requirements while keeping the creative vision consistent throughout.

From initial conversations and creative development to production, direction, cinematography and post-production, we bring the entire process together with a shared commitment to the craft of filmmaking.

FROM CONCEPT TO EXECUTION

We work across the complete production process, developing ideas and visual treatments before taking them through pre-production, filming and post-production.

Creative Development & Direction

Concept development, treatments, visual research and creative direction. Establishing the visual language and narrative behind each campaign.

Production & Cinematography

Film production, directing, cinematography and shoot execution. Building the right crew and production infrastructure around the creative requirements of each project.

Post-Production & Finishing

Editing, colour grading, sound design, motion graphics and visual effects. Bringing every element together through a considered and collaborative finishing process.

WORKING ACROSS FASHION, CULTURE & COMMERCE

Our work moves between fashion, sport, editorial and commercial storytelling. From seasonal fashion campaigns and brand films to documentary-led stories, editorial projects and advertising, we create films that connect visual identity with a sense of place, character and culture.

Working across social content, digital campaigns, high-end e-commerce, digital out-of-home and television commercials, we develop visual content designed to live across platforms and audiences, without losing the integrity of the original idea.
